Fixed Gears
Fixed gears in a manual transmission are gears that are pressed onto the shaft, splined onto the shaft, or made as part of the shaft. The counter shaft in the G56 transmission uses fixed gears for all of the gears, these gears are pressed onto the shaft and will not spin on the shaft as it turns.
